Going on holidays this summer? If so, don’t forget that your plants in pots will still need to be watered. Some people are lucky enough to have a kind neighbour who will coddle their plants while they are gone. Another solution is a simple irrigation system connected to a time clock on the tap. If using this system, make sure that every pot is provided with an irrigation line and program the system to distribute a small amount of water every day. This way, you never provide too much or too little water. Summer bulbs don’t like soggy soil!
And don’t forget to place the pots out of the full sun while you’re away on holiday!
